Pen caps. Tastefully designed.

If you’re one of those people who chew, nibble, gnaw away at the cap
of your pen (AND WE KNOW YOU ARE! Aren’t we all?!), this product
might be the solution your dentist has been looking for: DIN-INK

Developed by the Italian firm ZO-loft, DIN-INK is a set of pen caps that
double as a fork, a knife and a spoon. The set retails for $10 on amazon.com.

The pen caps/silverware are not only cleverly designed, but are made from
renewable resources that are non-toxin and 100% biodegradable! Yummy!

Public Libraries that ROCK!

AGAIN…we have to admit it…we LOVE libraries. All our lives we’ve loved walking through
aisles and aisles and aisles and AISLES of library books. Flipping through card catalogs.
Hanging out with our friend, Mr. Dewey Decimal System. LIBRARIES ROCK! And as much
as libraries rock, most don’t rock like these PUBLIC libraries found around the world.

Interior Design: Made to Stick

Is your bedroom, dorm room or office in desperate need of a home makeover
but you don’t have a ton of $$ to spend on something cool, modern and sleek?

Buy a couple rolls of painters tape and roll out some awesome wall graphics!

That’s exactly what Late Architects, a Polish studio, did to snazz things up.

Using just paint, wood and about 3,000 feet of tape (’tis true!)
they created some bold, black-white-and-red graphics and
geometric letters that look like a deconstructed Constructivist poster!

The graphics were designed to reflect the surroundings. About 1,400 photos
of abandoned factories and industrial areas were snapped, then converted into
an abstract mural turning ordinary blah walls into some dynamic AHA! walls.

Just so you know…a typical roll of masking tape is 60 yards or 180 feet long.
So 16+ ROLL OF TAPE (and a lot of patience) were used to create the designs.

Thanks to fastcodesign.com for rolling out this story!
